Drawer lock Joint Bits

Using a drawer lock joint bit gives you most of the advantages of a dovetail joint without having to buy the fixture. A drawer lock joint is also easier to cut. A drawer lock joint increases the glue surface area while providing the mechanical advantage of the interlocking wood joint. The interlocking wood joint helps reduce the stress of opening and closing drawers. Take a few extra moments when setting up to get a perfect joint on your samples, save the perfect samples to make easier set-ups next time.

Drawer Lock-Joint (Reversible)

This new OLDHAM™ bit is for gluing drawer fronts and sides together. Use this bit in a router table only.

To make this joint easily:
(1) Set top cutting edge of bit 3/8" above the router table. Run drawer fronts flat on router table with the inside surface facing downward.
(2) Change the fence position. Run drawer sides vertically against the fence with the inside surface facing the bit.
